Mite 01-02’s:
Brian Yandle

  • 2 Years Coaching experience with the Atlanta Fire Program
  • Hockey Director at The Cooler
  • Played Youth Hockey for the South Shore Kings in Boston, Massachusetts
  • 1997 Peewee World Champion
  • 2 Time All American at University of New Hampshire
  • Played Pro with Lowell Lock Monsters, Worcester Sharks, Phoenix Roadrunners, Augusta Lynx and Gwinnett Gladiators
  • Level 3 USA Hockey Certification
  • Brian was born and raised in Boston, Ma


Squirt Minor 00’s:
Kyle Imrie

  • 7 years of coaching experience all in the Atlanta area and 3 with the Atlanta Fire Program Squirt through Midget levels
  • Played travel minor hockey through to Junior "A" growing up in Toronto, Ontario
  • Played Junior "A" Lacrosse and coached indoor Lacrosse for 4 seasons
  • Level 4 USA Hockey Certification
  • Kyle was born in Oakville, Ontario

 

Squirt Major 99’s:
Tom Glavine

  • 8 yrs coaching experience - Mites through Bantam levels
  • 5 yrs with the Atlanta Fire program
    Played travel hockey through high school and was drafted in the 4th round of the 1984
  • NHL draft
  • Currently in 23rd yr of professional baseball, 18 with the Braves and 5 with the NY Mets
  • Level 3 USA Hockey Certification
  • Tom grew up in Billerica, Ma

 

PeeWee Minor 98’s:
Mike Kotas

  • 12 years of coaching experience at Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget AA and AAA levels
  • This coming year will be his 8th with the Atlanta Fire Program
  • Played 12 years of Tier I AAA minor hockey for the Amherst Knights in NY
  • 1 year of Junior Varsity at Clarkson University
  • Level 4 USA Hockey Certification
  • Mike grew up in Williamsville, NY which is a suburb of Buffalo


Peewee Major 97’s:
Scott Pearson

  • 7 years of coaching experience with the Atlanta Fire, Mite through Midget levels
  • Atlanta Fire Coach in Chief
  • Played 4 years of Junior Hockey in the Ontario Hockey League for Kingston & Niagara Falls
  • Played 12 years professionally in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Quebec Nordiques, Edmonton Oilers & Buffalo Sabres, he also played in the IHL, AHL and in Germany
  • Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification
  • Scott was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario

 

Bantam Minor 96’s:
Chris Powers

  • 14 years of coaching experience all in the Atlanta area and 10 with the Atlanta Fire Program Mite through Midget at A, AA and AAA levels
  • Played travel minor hockey growing up in Michigan
  • Played club hockey for four years at Kenyon College
  • Level 4 USA Hockey Certification
  • Chris was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan


Bantam Major 95’s:
Michael Majnarich

  • 17 years Head coaching experience
  • 12 in Canada – PeeWee AAA, Bantam AA Midget AAA
  • Level IV USA Hockey Certification
  • Advanced (Theory) – NAACP (Canadian Certification)
  • Played youth AAA travel hockey in Edmonton, Alberta
  • Played 1 year of junior hockey with Spokane Flyers/Lethbridge Broncos (WHL)
  • Michael was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta

Midget Minor 16 U A – 93-94’s:
Doug Altmeyer

  • 10 years of coaching experience including Mite through High School Varsity levels
  • 7 years coaching experience at The Cooler coaching 11 teams
  • This upcoming year will be his 5th coaching with the Atlanta Fire Program
  • Played youth travel through Division 1 High School in Rye, NY
  • Level 3 USA Hockey Coaching Certification
  • Doug was born and raised in Rye, NY

Midget Minor 16 U AA - 93-94’s:
Randy Boyd

  • 12 years of coaching experience (8 years at The Cooler and with the Atlanta Fire, 2 years coaching the Memphis Riverkings of the Professional Central Hockey League and 2 years with the Chicago Cheetahs in the Roller Hockey International League)
  • Played Junior Hockey for the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League
  • Played 12 years of professional hockey in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and the Vancouver Canucks. He also played in AHL, IHL and in Austria
  • Level 3 USA Hockey Coaching Certification
  • Randy grew up in Coniston, Ontario

 

Head Goaltending Instructor - Atl Fire:
Dan Bouchard

  • 21 years of coaching experience ranging from minor hockey to college to head goalie coach for the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL
  • Selected by the Boston Bruins in the second 27th overall in the 1970 NHL draft
  • Played 15 years in the NHL for the Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, Quebec Nordiques and the Winnipeg Jets
  • Dan grew up in Quebec City, Quebec
